Gerlach, Taxes, And dirty politics

Theres the tax increase!!!

4% is just the beginning folks. 

I will say it again, Patel and Tuerk are hiding so much money.  They are spending out of control. 

Then last night you have Gerlach making a point that anything she tries to put forward gets forwarded to the whole council to be voted on.  Others who put things forward have their bill or whatever you want to call it sent to special committees or the committee that the proposed bill is under. I.e. parks and recreation. 

Gerlach calls out Hendricks and says basically I am getting hosed here.  She says the mayor already called 4 of you (meaning council members) to get them to squash her homeless bill.  Hendricks says the mayor didnt call me and Gerlach says yea he did, he told me.  

This is how dirty Tuerk is.  Gerlach Santos and Zucal are left out of everything. While the puppets Hendricks, clueless Mota, Affa, and Al Bundy are all so bought.  

It is digusting anymore how Tuerk controls these weak people.  I cant express how dirty he is.  But look at the backlash on WFMZ on facebook in the comments section.  He isnt being looked at too kindly right now. 

Wait until the council budget meeting next week.  Im excited to go.

Lets meet the players before we start.

Here we go with the budget.

I know this is a longer post but everything you need to know about how and why your taxes are going up is right here. I posted this right before the council meeting started so my predictions would count (I dont know towards what) and so Patel and Tuerk wouldn't have time to change their proposal. This is really interesting.

Budget Season 

What we were told and know

City owes 90million in outstanding bonds

City has a 4-8 million dollar budget deficit from what I see.

City council just approved a 134 million dollar bond.

What to expect from Finance director Bina Patel. 

1. She will have zero answers to any questions replying with "I cannot answer that at this time"

2. For her to suggest a tax increase somewhere in the area of 2-8% or that the city would have needed that if she didn't somehow balance the budget.

3. To have severely cut 2026 budgets within the city.  

Where to look for these cuts. Simple, she would have to cut in places where the city has no choice but to pay back i.e

Fire and police overtime, look for the budget to be cut severely in 2026 budget i.e. overtime cost 5million 2025 but she will ask for 1 million in 2026.

Medical costs is another cut for 2026 which we all know medical costs keep going up. I.e. ask for 20 million knowing in 2025 cost for medical was 30 million.

Patel and Tuerk are hiding the Truth on the budget. You just have to know where to look.

This way Patel can balance the budget before the election or get real close. Knowing she really didnt at all. 

Result;

In 2026 department heads will ask council for money in those areas mentioned because the city is obligated to pay overtime and medical. Council will have no choice but to approve the requests. They will do so without knowing they were lied too in Patel's 2025 budget proposal. 

This money will have to be taken from the unappropriated funds. This is what the real gangstas call "cooking the books" No one is smart enough to see this right now except good ole Abe. However, one has to follow the money to discover this. 

Council members who arent bought should ask for an explanation as to how she balanced a 4-8 million dollar deficit. Make her answer. Cause we all know she will say I dont have that answer and act like a total moron.  

Why a tax raise is coming either in 2026 or a huge one in 2027.

1. Most of Tuerks cabinet got raises. 

2. The Harvard grads in the solicitor’s office got a huge bump. (Still not sure why)

3. My firefighter buddies told me they got a 3% increase for a few years.

4. Police contract is up so expect them to get the same as fire. Another 3% for a few years.

5. Add the 39 vacant spots the mayor wants to fill at say 50k a position plus benefits. $1,950,000 plus benefits add another 200k. 

6. Please dont forget your garbage fee is going up as well $140 this year.

7. SEIU union contract is up soon. They will want their raises.

8. All non-bargaining employees for the city are looking at 3% raises as well.

Lets squeeze the citizens more. Sorry Matt besides the fact I just don't like you, I cant support this type of spending while I barely get by. Look at it all!!! Absolutely, ridiculous. Dumbass You will bankrupt the city. Zucal will be getting my support.  

To complete my parlay Im expecting Patel to be fired by Tuerk next year, so he can blame all the finance issues that he knew about that cone up. If Zucal wins, I would expect the same result.
