Siegel, Holihan, Tuerk.
Is that the new Democratic ticket?
Holihan openingly stated he would support the anti-police Siegel. This is funny coming from the District Attorney of Lehigh County or anywhere. But nothing surprises me in the Lehigh Valley anymore. Support the anti-police candidate. This would also mean that Holihan has switched parties to Democratic. Is this political suicide for him?
I don't think he can win another term as D.A against a strong Republican candidate. Siegel is hated by Republicans and Tuerk is right there with him.
Lehigh county will become more of the woke joke than it already is if these three win. Sadly, I have little faith in the justice system anymore. I will give Holihan some credit he has tried to bring some accountability to the Allentown police department. But dropping charges after a preliminary hearing is a very weak move. The bigger charges two officers face, well I'll make my opinion easy. If their guilty they get what they deserve. If they are not, I feel bad they went thru everything. It must be awful.
How the Allentown School principle was handled is also concerning. Any normal citizen would have been charged with misdemeanors not summaries. I know alot of people are not happy with his office right now.
How bad is a Siegel win? Well he's arrogant as shit. I predict he will try to bring his defund the police mentality along with loads of unnecessary spending. I will give Josh credit with his one commercial against Maclean. You know the one that says Maclean has lived in a city owned property basically rent free for like 25 years. Also he was Chief of police when major corruption was allegedly going on. Ill throw you a bone though I don't want you to win. You forgot Maclean sued the city and won. And he was also part of the "Goon squad" as a police officer.
On the other hand Mr. Maclean is nothing special. He skated as a police chief rarely ever seen out in the public. I guess when your friends with judges and lawyers you can get away with things. His county position my sources say he didn't do much there either. If he actually came to work.
But Maclean I feel wont frivolously spend money. Will support the police. And probably will leave things status quo. Im very surprised Holihan isnt supporting Maclean. But as mentioned Holihan might be against the police or trying to uphold the law like he should be.
I almost cant fault anyone who they vote on for county executive. I hate to see a whiny arrogant Siegel in there, or a guy who has milked the city for so long either. But I'm backing Maclean.
YOUR VOTE IS URGENTLY NEEDED THIS November 4th TO STOP THESE DANGEROUS POLITICIANS!
Tuerk and Siegel are WRONG for Allentown and WRONG for Lehigh County.
The last day to request a mail in ballot is 5pm on 10/28/2025. It must be received at the county elections office by this time. Completed ballots must be returned by 8pm on Nov 4th.
