Matt you got a long 4 years ahead of you. I cant wait to see how it goes. It takes a special person to win an election with no friends. Like seriously, your campaign HQ was really jumping last night. But how many people who were there really like you or do they just need to keep their jobs or want something from you?
I never understood politics but I have come to the conclusion. It is all fake. Politicians lie and lie to get votes. They don't care about you. The money their spend. Its all about power. Funny though what power do they really have? Nothing unless you work for them, and even that is limited.
People only like politicians because of their status not because they actually like them. Its like a pro athlete on a team you hate. You will still hang around them if given the chance because they are popular. But even that athlete has to put his head down on his pillow and know people are only around him because of his status and they only use him while he is famous. Once his time is up, he fades away to his lonely forgotten life. Its all fake. Fake words, promises, all of it.
I bet Matt will be walking around city hall all day trying to get congratulations from people. And yes, people will congratulate him. Please know Matt, you aren't the only one who can act the part of actually caring.
I look forward to tax increases the next four years. Bike lanes, traffic jams, dirt bikes everywhere, excessive spending. Giving Barista's pay raises. I'll be here from time to time to expose the Truth.
Congrats to all the mayor and the new Council coming in. Please continue the Jerry Springer theatrics that the current council provides. I dont know some of the winners, but I'll take a guess it will be new clowns and the same old circus.
