Waste of Money and Future Predictions

I remember awhile ago the police department wanting to relocate its 10th St. Patrol Station.  Since it has been sold however, the police are basically forced to leave.  I dont know how any of that is working. Seems like a cluster of back door deals that werent planned out.

But last night at the council meeting there was a bill proposed for $350,000 that waa sent to committee to lease and do some maintenance on another parking garage the police will use.

I am assuming they are moving to a new location until or if the 4th St. station gets built.

My question is who is behind all this wasteful spending?  Why did the city sell the 10th st Station only to move the police to a space they are leasing?  Seems like they will just waste all the profits of the sale.   But what should I expect from our leaders? If council the mayors staff and the mayor were on Are you smarter than a 5th grader.

They would surely lose.  Im curious what the building lease will cost.  How much will be spent to move all the equipment? Im sure cameras and security measures will have to be implemented for a temporary station. Why not wait until the 4th St. Station was completed to move? That would make sense.

This is your tax dollars being wasted again because no one has the brains to think things out.

Just like the new sprinker systems being put in at the fire stations.  First off, isnt it ironic the firefighters need a sprinkler system?  Isnt that like their job? Sorry just being funny.

I believe the systems are old and I think this was part of a grant. But I believe they are putting one in at Central Fire only to tear the building down.  Oh and dont forget the $400,000 roof going on that building that is going to be torn down in the next 2 years. Tax payers funded.  Curious it seems the fire fighters get everything they want?  Whats the connection there?  🤔 Im sure a little digging and I can figure it out.

Predictions

I am going to bet council doesnt approve 4%.  Maybe 2%.  Mota will be deciding vote.

The 7th/ Hamilton St. Lane closure into one lane eastbound from 7th St. causes huge traffic backups. Expect accidents there as well.

The homeless problem gets much worse.  We will start to see people back on Hamilton St.  Getting back to 700-900blocks.

Years 2027 2028 2029 2030 will result in atleast a total of 16-25% tax increase.  To avoid bankrupting the city, there will be no choice.  The City of Allentown is doomed.

The debt obligations the city will owe after 4 years will be close to 200 million.

Also predicting Tuerk tries to pass No Term limits.  Thus cutting Dr. Mota out of her chance to be mayor.  Something Im sure Tuerk had promised her he would help her win if she didnt run against him.

Im predicting Tuerk takes a shot at Congress. Good luck.  He doesnt have a chance of winning that.  The county residents arent going to care about a guy who rides his bike around in a suit, claims he is Latino when Tuerk has a German origin, and speaks spanish. Tho as stated before, Fetterman did win. So anything is possible.

Good Job Allentown City Without Limits, thats for sure. Spending limits for sure
